The Perfect Home Guide: Spring 2008: A Step Above the Rest continued

Clients are involved in the process from beginning to end, which translates into less stress for the homeowner. A team member is assigned to each specific phase of the building process.

Homeowners know exactly what to expect as they are updated weekly regarding selections, budget considerations, and the status of the home’s construction. To assist with budgeting, the company is fully computerized, including a state-of-the-art digitizer to estimate, schedule, specify and track construction progress.

As the industry continually evolves, Dave Brewer not only embraces change but also takes a proactive role to keep the company on the cutting edge of technology and design. “We are constantly learning new ways of doing our business and providing our customers with the best homes available,” says Brewer. For example, a new concept Dave Brewer is introducing appeals to those who are avid collectors. Dubbed “Toy Garages,” homes are built to accommodate special collections such as cars, boats, motorcycles and even custom-designed buses.

The idea of the toy garage came from a need Dave Brewer recognized. An avid car collector, Brewer noticed the lack of space to display his assortment of unique automobiles. He knew from discussions with fellow collectors that there were frustrations regarding the stringent homeowners association covenants in most upscale communities, which prohibit structures that would house a number of recreational vehicles. “People wanted the convenience to enjoy their “toys” without having to travel to an offsite storage facility,” says Brewer.

Team Brewer’s solution to the dilemma was to collaborate with a developer and create a special community in Seminole County near I-4. Here, homes will be built on ample acreage that would facilitate the structures while maintaining the architectural integrity of the home and the appeal of the community. The project has received great response, once again confirming the company’s ability to recognize the needs of current and potential clients.

Brewer firmly believes an exchange of ideas is a vital component in a company’s success. Years ago he conceived of an organization composed of premier custom homebuilders working toward the united goal of maintaining the highest degree of excellence in Central Florida’s building industry. Born from this vision was the Master Custom Builders Council. A limited number of builders are invited to join this elite society. The group meets frequently to network, share experiences and discuss the latest in technology, building materials and design. To maintain membership, builders must continually achieve the highest levels of quality and integrity. Brewer is also an active member of the Home Builders Association of Metro Orlando and the National Association of Home Builders, receiving numerous recognitions and distinctions within these organizations.

In addition to local awards such as the 2007 Lake County Parade of Homes 1st place winner, and Best Overall Detail for the Milano model found in upscale Heathrow Country Estates, Dave Brewer Inc. has gained national recognition as one of the Top Ten Custom Home Builders.

Supporting the Central Florida community, in which many of his clients live, Brewer contributes to charitable events as a company, as well as through participation with the MCBC.

Brewer and Rauch receive great gratification when they know the client is completely satisfied. Both agree that their favorite thing to hear when the homeowner walks through the home is, “I can live here.” The builders know they have achieved a home that is warm, inviting and comfortable.

Dave Brewer, with his team of highly skilled and enthusiastic professionals, is committed to producing the highest quality luxury homes for Central Floridians while setting the bar for competition.
